About AishaHi there! My name is Aisha Edmonds, I'm a SOR based doula servicing the Perth metropolitan suburbs and I have four amazing children of my own.
I am NZ born but moved to Australia in my pre teens. My first child was born in a private hospital setting with an OB with ALOT of intervention, his birth left me with a longing for a more positive, empowering and natural experience, So when I became pregnant with my second I knew I needed to harness myself with all the knowledge I could to help me achieve a natural water birth at home, I booked an IM and achieved the intervention free, natural water home birth I had longed for, this was a healing and empowering experience for me, I felt like I was on top of the world! |
The birth of my second child ignited a fire in me! I wanted this for every woman!
For them to feel confident and safe, to feel empowered and happy about their choices and excited to share their positive birth stories!
I believe in a woman's right to choose;
- how they experience their pregnancy
- how her baby is bought into this world
- who is with them when this happens
- how she chooses to raise her children
My aim as Doula is not to be your voice, but instead hold and support the space for YOU to be heard!

My beliefs about birth
I believe birth is many things, sacred, personal, empowering, fulfilling, testing, but above all I believe it is the most intense, amazing experience a woman and her partner can share,
I believe birth is the most natural thing a woman can do and I believe a woman should be encouraged to trust in her body and her instincts, and to give her body the chance to do what it was designed to do.
